Fill in the Blank Friday!!

1. I am looking forward to vacation in Florida with my hubby this summer!! And more immediately---seeing all the green pop out of the trees in the next few days! :-)

2. Something kind of embarrassing that I still love anyway is the Twilight series. I read all the books in about three weeks. I obsessed over it. And I didn't want to tell anyone what it was that I was reading. But now I know more people have read those books than I thought...so it's not so bad...kinda...ish...

3. My favorite car is 1970 AAR Hemi Barracuda. My dad used to have one, in Vitamin C Orange, and I love loved driving it! For an every day car, I love Jeeps. My Hector does just fine...for now!

4. If I could pick one type of weather to live with for the rest of my life it would be sunny and warm all day long, with a couple of hours of rain showers in the middle of the night. I love sleeping to the sound of rain falling on the roof, and the rain is necessary for my gardens...but I want SUNSHINE ALL DAY LONG!!!!

5. My favorite thing to do after a bad/stressful day is very dependant on the stressor. Normally, I love to go workout and get it out of my system. The stress is a good push, and the workout ends up being great! Sometimes, though, I do prefer to go home and just sit on the couch by myself with an adult beverage and just let the day ooze out of my system. And sometimes, I like to go for a walk with a friend and talk it all out.

6. This weekend has finally arrived!!! It's supposed to be nice tomorrow, so I plan on working outside in my gardens and making them look good again! And Sunday is supposed to bring more showers, and therefore more cleaning inside the house. And I'm thinking of going somewhere nice for dinner one of these nights, using our Fine Dining Card someplace new...!

7. If I were a color, I'd be steel blue. With the right colors, it can be such a happy color. It's strong, it's deep, it's bold, and it's soothing. And, it's my favorite color!

Fill in the Blank Friday!

1. Fridays are so much more sweet for me this year! No working on weekends anymore! They truly are a bright end to the work week, signaling some much-needed time off for me!!

2. Spending time with my husbandmakes me terribly happy. Cliche, maybe, but I really don't get to spend enough time with him!!!

3. Something that inspires me is my family.

4. If I had the day off today I would have slept in. Definitely a sleepy day today. I would also have continued my cleaning spree through my house!

5. If I had to put a label on my home decor style, I would say my style is dreaming! Right now I am thinking a lot about what the new house will look like when it's finally completed. I have a lot of styles and colors and designs that I like, and any given day I change the style and color that I want to make each different room in the house! There will be hardwood floors, and lots of exposed wooden beams, so most likely going more country-style. :-)

6. Concerning politics I would say my views are very much "in the middle". I am registered Republican, but I would not say I am in line with all their agendas; however, I am not in line with all the Democratic views by any means, either. I can see both views, and can argue both views.

7. I’d like to go on a tropical vacation so I could bask in the sun, swim, and get some alone time with my hubby to reconnect with each other...like I said, I don't get to spend enough time with him here, our schedules are too busy!!

Fill in the Blank Friday

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. My favorite daily responsibility is kissing Josh goodnight. :-)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. My least favorite daily responsibility is doing the dishes. It's my job since Josh makes dinner almost every night...so I do know the trade-off here, but still. Dishes are always there!!! It's a never-ending task!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. My favorite cuisine to eat when going out is American or Italian. I love comfort foods, and good steaks!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. My favorite cuisine to prepare at home is any baked goods. As I mentioned before, Josh does most of the dinner cooking in our house. My grandmother taught me how to bake, and I like to think I do a pretty damn good job with any and all baked goods, when I actually get around to making anything! I also am pretty good with the whole crock pot cooking deal. But really, who isn't? ;-)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Andy Warhol said that everyone is famous for 15 minutes. My claim to fame is probably more of a claim to INFAMY... Oh well... My claim to FAME is yet to be...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6. If I could have 3 wishes I would wish for the cure to cancer and for it to be readily available all those who need the help, the end to worldwide strife and hunger, and to be able to travel more often to more places around the world.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7. My biggest pet peeve is hypocrits. People who point fingers without realizing that three fingers are pointing right back at them. Children having children. And, chewing with your mouth open.

Fill in the Blank Friday!!

1. Something that makes me a great friend is I am a good listener and only give advice or opinions if I am asked. I don't pretend to know it all, but I try to comfort to my best ability. I will drop anything at the drop of a hat to help out a friend in need, no matter how near or far.

2. I am strong-willed, stubborn, intelligent, loyal, open-minded, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mommy to 5 pups, in love with nature, a landscape designer, a coffee junkie, a thrill-seeker, and attempting to become a minimalist.

3. I am not patient, fond of change, a cat person, ever going to be accused of being too chipper/happy/nice.

4. If I had to describe myself in 3 words, they would be loyal (my friends and family are everything to me, don't mess with them or it will get ugly), caring (any of my good friends and family will tell you that I would do just about anything for any of them if I can), strong (physically and mentally, I have been through a lot, and I think it all makes me a better person, and I won't back down from anything). And crazy. :-)

5. Something I'm really cheap about is almost everything, I mean, come on, look at my paycheck sometime! But really, I guess I am cheap about things for myself. I tend to feel bad about spending any money on myself. I like to shop at dollar stores and Target. :-)

6. Something I'm willing to splurge on is anything for Josh, or any gifts for my friends or family. I tend to go overboard...like...way overboard, more often than not. And...concert tickets. :-)

7. I would trade April showers with Her muddy yards and muddy paws for May flowers with Her sunshine and dried-out green lawns in a heartbeat!

Fill in the Blank Friday...on Monday.

I was unfortunately ill on Friday and did not go to work, and then my internet connection at home was pretty lousy, so I did not get the opportunity to complete this on Friday!! So, here we go!

1. The best prank I ever pulled was oh I don't know...I have been a bit of a trickster all these years...I suppose one good one I recall is playing with an Ouiji board at a friend's house and somehow looking like I wasn't pushing the piece around, but I actually was, and it scared the CRAP out of one of the girls to the point she had to leave the sleepover to go home! I also remember one April Fool's Day somehow locking the sprayer on the kitchen sink in the on position and getting my mother soaked when she went to rinse out a cup. :-) I love jokes!!

2. The best prank ever pulled on me was ...again, since I like to play jokes/pranks on others, I am often pranked myself. The one that comes to mind first is a birthday party my 6th grade best friend, Trina, threw for me. She had me convinced that we were going to watch a movie and have dinner afterwards, and had my mom drive me out to her house, where I thought we were picking her up for the movie. She asked me to come into her garage to see her new bike, and I told her I would see it later because we were going to be late for the movie. Somehow she convinced me to go into the garage anyhow, where all my friends were waiting to yell "Happy Birthday" to me. My mom had been in on it the whole time, and all my friends kept it secret from me for quite a while. This "secret" even almost cost me some friendships (as 6th grade was so catty!) but it was an awesome birthday!

3. A day without saying "I Love You" to someone, and meaning it, is a day wasted.

4. The most important things in life are family and friends. They make this journey through life worthwhile. Cherish and treasure all of your relationships, and allow them to grow.

5. I dream of traveling to so many places all over the world. I dream of a family. I dream of growing old with Josh, in our house, sitting on a deck in rocking chairs looking out over our back yard.

6. I dread not being able to have a child with Josh.

7. A discovery I made this week was...I can't say it was a "discovery" but more of a concrete realization: family relationships are amazing, especially in a time of such great sorrow. The bond between the Husted family, through the horrible loss of Uncle Bruce, that I got to both witness and be a part of this past week, is so great and overwhelming in the best way. I love each and every person in this family that I married into...I am blessed to have them all in my life, and am proud to be a part of their extended family.
